Boys
(+2) 1. Jalen Hendricks, Sr., G, Nash Central: After scoring a team-high 18 points in the Bulldogs’ second loss to Rocky Mount High, Hendricks dished out 10 assists and scored 12 points in a win against Wilson Fike.
(NR) 2. Terrill Hilliard, Sr., F, Rocky Mount High: Welcome back to the Starting 5, Mr. Hilliard. Forty-two points in two games will do that. Maybe the high-scoring forward has figured out how to beat all those doubles teams. Maybe they’ve just stopped.
(NR) 3. Jacob Barrett, Jr., G, Rocky Mount Prep: Somebody always seems to step up for the Jaguars. This time it’s Barrett with 40 points and 18 rebounds during the past two games.
(NR) 4. Lucas Bayless, Sr., G, Rocky Mount Academy: Consistency might help Bayless stay in the top 5 longer, but 28 points and six assists will help him make a quick appearance at the very least.
(-4) 5. Lavon Brutus, Sr., G, Rocky Mount High: Brutus managed 21 points the past two games. The only reason he hangs on after a four-point performance last Friday was the 17 he scored Tuesday.
