Center offers free business classes

The Nash Community College Small Business Center will offer free seminars in mid-February.

The programs are:

  • Feb. 17 – Bookkeeping and taxes. Topics include calculating and recording payroll and sales taxes and preparing financial statements, including cash flow, income and expense statements and balance sheets. Jess McLamb will be the instructor.
  • Feb. 25 – Creative online marketing. Topics include how to use Internet marketing methods to position you, your business and its website to attract qualified customers and generate new business at little or no cost. Dr. Barnsley Brown will be the instructor.
  • Feb. 26 – Dynamite marketing on firecracker budget. Topics include how prospective and existing business owners and employees can learn more about their customers, competitors and market opportunities. Mike Collins will be the instructor.

The seminars run from 6-9 p.m. on the second floor of the Business and Industry Center.
