ATLANTA – Holiday Inn-Rocky Mount again has earned InterContinental Hotels Group’s 2011 Torchbearer Award, the company’s most prestigious award, continuing its string of high-level recognition.

“It is my pleasure to name the Holiday Inn-Rocky Mount as one of the finest hotels in our industry,” said Kirk Kinsell, president of the Americas IHG. “This hotel embodies the spirit, product and service that continue to make IHG properties known and admired throughout the world.”

This is the second straight year the motel has won the Torchbearer Award. The honor comes soon after the motel was awarded the 2010 Kemmons Wilson Spirit of Family Award from the Holiday Inn chain.

The award was presented during the 2011 IHG Americas Investors and Leadership Conference held Oct. 24–26 in Las Vegas. The motel was one of 116 properties in IHG’s 4,400-hotel network in the Americas to be honored.

Holiday Inn-Rocky Mount is at 200 Enterprise Drive just east of the Interstate 95-U.S. 64 interchange. For information, call 937-7100.
