Employees from the Rocky Mount office of RSM McGladrey Inc. and McGladrey & Pullen LLP recently completed an outdoor beautification project at the My Sister’s House.

Nine volunteers planted flowers, set out more than 200 bulbs, put down mulch and refinishing the lawn furniture at the domestic violence shelter.

“First impressions are so important, especially for families entering the shelter,” Meredith Holland, its executive director, is quoted as saying in a release. “Imagine that the first thing these families see is a huge bed of daffodils. It truly will make a difference.”
