Almon Gerald Hall of Rocky Mount recently passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination.

Given by the N.C. Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners, the exam’s four sections cover auditing and attestation, business environment and concepts, financial accounting and reporting, and regulations over 14 hours of testing, a release says.

“The purpose of the Uniform CPA Examination is to provide assurance that those individuals who pass the CPA examination possess the level of technical knowledge and the skills necessary for initial licensure,” the release says.

To become a CPA, Hall next must meet educational, work experience and moral character requirements set by the board.

Hall graduated from Faith Christian High School. He holds a bachelor’s in business administration and master’s degree in accounting, both from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

He works as a staff accountant at Deloitte Touche in Raleigh.
