A manager at a McDonald’s in Rocky Mount is one of only 150 restaurant leaders in Central North Carolina to be presented a four-day cruise by the chain and Coca-Cola.

Sharon Johnson earned the all-expenses-paid Caribbean trip as a part of the Cruising with Coke program, a release says. This annual program recognizes managers who received high customer satisfaction ratings and met sales goals.

The cruise will be in February aboard the Royal Caribbean line.

“We are so proud of the hard work of our manager,” Barry Traub, McDonald’s local owner said in the release. “The Cruising with Coke program allows us the opportunity to celebrate our managers who work tirelessly.”

Presentation of the award, a plaque and cruise-related gifts came while Johnson, a 13-year veteran with the restaurant chain, was working at the store at 2640 Sunset Ave.

“I’m at a loss for words,” Johnson said in the release. “I really enjoy working here and am very thankful for this opportunity.”
