Cathy G. Porter, an Edward Jones financial adviser in Rocky Mount, recently attended the annual Barron’s Winner’s Circle Top Women Advisers Summit.

The program was held by Barron’s magazine from Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in Palm Beach, Fla. In addition to professional development, it offered participants opportunities to network with industry leaders and participate in workshops led by the magazine’s Top 100 Women Advisers.

“It was an honor to attend the Barron’s Top Women Advisers Summit and engage with other financial advisers who share the same focus on serving individual investors,” Porter is quoted as saying in a release. “I am excited to take what I’ve learned back to my clients and my firm.”
