Twenty-six members of the Northern Nash High School band from Nash County were selected for the N.C. Bandmasters Association Eastern District All-District Band.
The students had auditions on Jan. 7.
On Feb. 4, the students performed at the Wright Auditorium on the campus of East Carolina University.
Representing Northern Nash High School in the 11th and 12th grade band were Will Mercer, Anabella Pardo and Kayla Barnes on flute; Brittany Bridges, Haley Cobb and Dylan Johnson on clarinet; Victoria Alston and Marisa Shadrick on bass clarinet; Joshua Freeman on trumpet; Emma Johnson on french horn; Tyler Blanton on trumbone; Chris Mercer on baritone; Will Jarvis and Nelson Pardo on tuba; Matt Griffith on mallet percussion; and Hunter Withrow on percussion.
Representing the school in the 9th and 10th grade band were Chasadee Wilkins, Baleigh James and Marion Mann on flute; Isabel Merrero on Bassoon; Matthew Bent on clarinet; Sabine Rekeibe on bass clarinet; Jordan Harris on alto saxophone; Macguyver Nethercutt and Maddi Boltinhouse on trombone; and Steven Kosh on baritone.
The students were accompanied during their auditions and performance by Northern Nash band directors Eric Harris and James Boyce.
