Army National Guard Pvt. Dustin Harrell has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, S.C.

The nine-week program included classroom and field training on the service’s mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, basic combat skills, weapons and marksmanship, chemical warfare, map reading, field tactics and basic first aid.

Harrell is the son of Susan Harrell and the brother of Darrin Harrell, both of Stallings Road, Macclesfield.

He is a 2011 graduate of SouthWest Edgecombe High School.
