GREENWOOD, S.C. - Ellison Poston and Henderson Rowe were married August 4, 2012 at Greenwood Baptist Church.
Rev. Dr. Tony Hopkins of Greenwood, S.C., performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kenny and Nancy Poston of Greenwood, S.C.
Grandparents of the bride are Eddie and Dot Dalton, Margaret Poston, all of Greenwood, S.C. and the late Marion Poston.
The groom is the son of Luther Thomas Rowe of Fort Mill, S.C. and Karen Walker Rowe of Indian Land, S.C.
Grandparents of the groom are Rachel Lovick of Kinston, The late Mac Lovick, the late William and Elizabeth Rowe-Nines, the late Henderson Hubert Rowe and the late Rev. James Bruce Walker.
The groom is the nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Rowe of Rocky Mount and Amy L. Rowe of Spring Hope.
Given in marriage by her parents the bride wore an ivory gown of lace over satinwith a sweetheart neckline, the bodice of her gown featured a side-drape rushing silhouette that cascaded into a sweep train.
She wore a one tier elbow length veil that featured an embellished edge with pearls, beads, and sequins.
For flowers the bride carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, mini white callas, white freesia with peacock feathers, twigs, and eucalyptus wrapped together with satin ribbon.
Margaret Poston Hastings of Greenwood, S.C., sister of the bride, served as matron of honor.
Katherine Nancy Poston of Greenwood, S.C., sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Cameron Lee Burns of Pendleton, S.C.,
Ambre Jones Ellenberg of Hodges, S.C., Stacey Dysart Gantt, Shannon Rae Lominick, Heather Marie Miller and Ashley Dawn Miller all of Greenwood, S.C.,

Taylor Owens Messick of Smyrna, Ga., Grace Lee McShane of John Island, S.C. and Kimberly Marie Ruck of Greenville, S.C., all friends of the bride.
Rebekah Grace Zheng Yi Sargent of Ninety Six, S.C., cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.

A reception was held at Stevenson Place Farms in Greenwood, S.C.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the Drummond Center at Lake Greenwood State Park.
Following a honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Aiken, S.C.
The bride graduated from Lander University in April of 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
She is employed by Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, S.C.
The groom graduated from Clemson University in December 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education.
He is employed by Midland Valley High School in Graniteville, S.C.
