I think a few tolls on Interstate 95 would be OK. However, one road that needs to be tolled heavily is N.C. 12 on the Outer Banks.

It washes out every year and sometimes multiple times in a year. We continue to put our state tax dollars in replacing this road every year.

That road needs the tolls on it. It is more or less a tourist highway and I-95 is a commercial corridor with goods transported up and down the interstate. Tolls will increase the cost and time trucks have to stop to pay tolls – and the consumers will end up eating the costs.

Not to mention a lot of local folks use I-95 short distances to get to and from work in an efficient amount of time rather than going the long ways around.
