Where has Rocky Mount cut their budget?

I know everyone is tired of listening and hearing about the annexation laws but the truth of the matter is taxation without representation.

People know where the city limits signs are.

If they wanted to build in the city and have city services, they would have moved there but they chose to move out into the county.

I don’t see where Rocky Mount has cut their budget.

I was visiting a friend of mine out on N.C. 97 recently and I had to go through an intersection and it smelled like a raw outhouse.

I got down to his house and all I could hear was pop, pop, pop.

I asked him what the noise was and he said that the city has about 400 acres up there and they have a firing range up there and sometimes they get to listen to it at 9 p.m.

This is unacceptable.

Annexation does not work.

It is a law that should have been stricken.

This is a free country and cities like Rocky Mount are greedy.

It is time for Rocky Mount to take care of what is done in city limits and clean up within the city limits before they go out in search of more money.

Citizens do not get the benefit of it and the services are not worth it.
